Our Fraternity might never have been created had they not had the support of great advisors. Eleven men started a dream that the faculty, including the University President, supported and encouraged. Times have changed; but one thing remains the same: college aged men still need advice.
The chapter advisor is responsible for supporting the undergraduate chapter in several areas. He or she heads a committee that supports chapter operations and keeps the chapter moving forward. Many times this person is a mentor to the chapter leadership. At the National level, this person acts as an alumni/volunteer contact for the National Headquarters. Locally, the University relies on this person for the same purpose.
A chapter advisor or member of an advisory committee should attend undergraduate chapter meetings regularly. They should strive to attend University training activities as well. Many of our chapter advisors also attend conclave.
