The AKL Education Foundation awards scholarships and grants on an annual basis to members. These opportunities are available through generous donations from alumni, friends, and family.

Alethia Scholarship

An Alethia Scholarship is a leadership scholarship available to undergraduate members of the Fraternity of Alpha Kappa Lambda. This scholarship will pay for any approved leadership conference registration fees.

These scholarships range from $500 to $750 based on the leadership program.

Lewis J. Bacon Expansion Scholarship

The Lewis J. Bacon Expansion Scholarship was named after the first Executive Secretary and Executive Director of Alpha Kappa Lambda. This scholarship helps provide support to students in their academic pursuits while they assist in establishing a chapter.

These scholarships range from $250 to $1000 per interested potential member and are based on the institution. 

Presidents’ Academy and Officers’ Institute Grant

The Clark-Thompson Presidents’ Academy & Officers’ Institute is an annual, three-day academy for incoming Chapter Presidents and officers. This program provides tools and training on all aspects of chapter operations including business operations, finances, risk management training, and more.

A grant for this program ranges from $500 to $1000 based on the number of attendees per chapter.

Emerging Leaders Initiative Grant

The Emerging Leaders Initiative is a program designed to motivate and train those members with aspirations for future leadership positions. This program is vital to developing and training those members who join with a desire to be future officers, volunteers, and leaders.

A grant for this program ranges from $300 to $750 based on the number of attendees per chapter.
