The Fraternity Loyalty Fund - An Opportunity to Give Directly to the Fraternity
In 2006, the Fraternity created a designated fund to encompass a number of functions unavailable through the AKL Education Foundation due to IRS limitations. These functions include, but are not limited to:
- Holding in Trust closed chapter assets
- Allowing individual donations to be made for non-charitable purposes
- Provide financial support for recruitment and Ritual training to our undergraduates
- Provide financial support for expansion activities
- Provide support for continuous communication to our alumni
Currently, over $500,000 is held in trust for chapters in the Loyalty Fund. These funds are invested conservatively for the purposes of supporting both general Loyalty Fund activities and to return the chapters to their campuses in the future.
Alumni and friends wishing to make general contributions to the Loyalty Fund are able to do so. These gifts are not tax-deductible. Donors that give $2,014 in honor of our centennial are entered into the Society of the Setting Sun. To give to the fund, click here.
