Member Standards

  • Membership in a Fraternity and more specifically in Alpha Kappa Lambda requires having standards.  These standards are what protect the identity, identify the cause and keep Alpha Kappa Lambda the same values based organization it has been for 100 years.  We identify ourselves as Men of Character Committed to Making a Difference.

    Our Standards can be identified through our mission and vision.

     

    Vision: To be the premier collegiate experience leading to lifelong brotherhood.

     

    Mission: Develop brothers who, guided by the Five Ideals, share a lifelong commitment to AKL and are dedicated to assuming leadership roles in meeting the challenges and responsibilities of life.

     

    We do this by:

    1. We achieve our academic potential
    2. We recruit and develop value-centered leaders
    3. We provide a safe and healthy environment
    4. We keep each other from harm
    5. We fulfill our duty to serve
    6. We make the campus and community a better place
    7. We prepare our members for life
    8. We provide guidance and counsel
