Self Support means that we take care of ourselves so that we can assist and lead others. The Ideal expects members to develop social abilities in order to succeed.
Risk Management Education is an important activity in Self Support. The Foundation currently grants a program called GreekLifeEdu that provides all undergraduate members with online training in the area of Risk Management. This training focuses on alcohol consumption (an issue for every undergraduate) but also other areas of risk for chapters such as fire, hazing, and drugs.
Social skills training is an important componant of preparing our members for the workplace and for the leadership responsibilities they will assume when they graduate. Speakers and other educational programs that touch on this topic are provided through funds from the annual appeal.
Chapter Campaigns are a specific way chapters demonstrate self support. These multi-million dollar campaigns can be assisted by the Foundation in numerous ways. Charitable gifts can be received through the Foundation, guidance can be provided and membership database support can be provided. Learn more by calling (317)585-4911.
