The Fraternity of Alpha Kappa Lambda recognizes that our chapters and activities are spread out throughout the country. Each area and/or location has a local health department that institutes recommendations and in some cases policies. Campuses connected to chapters may have their own health and safety policies. As the country continues to move through the pandemic the Fraternity will follow the following policies for the 2021-2022 Academic Year until otherwise determined by the National Executive Council.
All chapters and activities related to the Fraternity of Alpha Kappa Lambda will follow the health policies of the local health department, campus, and other authorities located where the respective related AKL entity operates when activities are occurring in that locality.
National events coordinated by the Fraternity will require one of the following for a participant to attend in a face-to-face setting:
- Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination submitted to the National Office at least 48 hours prior to the event.
- Proof of a negative test taken in the last five days submitted 24 hours prior to the event.
Participants attending a National event that have not been vaccinated must wear a face mask at all times in public settings. They also will be required to stay in a guest room as a single and cover the additional expense for the stay at times when the National organization provides rooms if the Fraternity incurs additional costs for the additional room.
Furthermore, the Fraternity of Alpha Kappa Lambda encourages its chapters and members to follow all local recommendations related to the health and safety of its members and community as is related to the current pandemic.
