National Conclave

National Conclave is a biennial, three-day event in which the fraternity holds its business meeting, national officers are elected, and policies and constitutional changes can occur. Educational opportunities are also provided to those in attendance. National Conclave also provides an opportunity for all members to reconnect with brothers from across the country and enjoy the brotherhood that we all share as AKL.

Donors can support this program with a permanent endowment of $250,000. This will provide $25,000 in annual program support.

Presidents’ Academy & Officers’ Institute

The Clark-Thompson Presidents’ Academy & Officers’ Institute is an annual, three-day academy for incoming Chapter Presidents and officers. This program provides tools and training on all aspects of chapter operations including business operations, finances, risk management training, and more.

Donors can support this program with a permanent endowment of $150,000. This will provide $15,000 in annual program support.

Chapter Recruitment Training

The Fraternity of Alpha Kappa Lambda offers Chapter Recruitment Training providing recruitment training to chapters. This program provides training in all areas of recruitment and growth including; formal and informal recruitment, strategic planning, officer resources, fraternity expansion, and online educational programming.

Donors can support this program with a permanent endowment of $100,000. This will provide $10,000 in annual program support.

Membership Education Fund

Alpha Kappa Lambda has introduced an online learning platform that is available to all members of the Fraternity. This allows for uniform training across AKL members in all areas of operations. This includes training on; Alcohol and Drugs, Hazing Prevention, Mental Health Awareness, Sexual Assault Prevention, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training.

Donors can support this program with a permanent endowment of $150,000. This will provide $15,000 in annual program support.

Emerging Leaders Initiative

AKL encourages all undergraduate members to further develop their leadership skills through various programs offered throughout the year. The Emerging Leaders Initiative is a program designed to motivate and train those members with aspirations for future leadership positions. This program is vital to developing and training those members who join with a desire to be future officers, volunteers, and leaders.

Donors can support this program with a permanent endowment of $100,000. This will provide $10,000 in annual program support.

National Scholarship Program

The AKL Education Foundation will develop and fund a National Scholarship Program which will create scholarships for undergraduate and graduate members of Alpha Kappa Lambda. Donors can support this program with a permanent endowment of $250,000. This will provide $25,000 in annual support.

Chapter Scholarship Program

The AKL Education Foundation will develop and fund a Chapter Scholarship Program which will create scholarships for undergraduate and graduate members of specific chapters of Alpha Kappa Lambda. Donors can support this program with a permanent endowment of $100,000. This will provide $10,000 in annual support.

I believe in the Five Ideals of Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity and subscribe to an emphasis on Judeo-Christian Principles, Leadership, Scholarship, Loyalty, and Self-Support.

I believe in brotherhood as friendship of the highest calling.

I accept membership in Alpha Kappa Lambda as affiliation that is binding for life.

I pledge myself to treat others as I would have them treat me.

I shall respect the opinion of others.

I shall commit myself to a style of membership in Alpha Kappa Lambda that is an educationally and socially maturing process. The goal of this process is achieving a wholeness of manhood that is prepared to assume leadership responsibilities in fulfilling the obligations of life.
